Sertraline HCL - Zoloft |
The drug named Sertraline HCL - Zoloft mentioned earlier is a
detailed inhibitor of the serotonin reuptake process in the brain
and is called an SRI. The drug is suggested to be taken in the form
of 50 to about a 200 mg per day pill doses for patients over a
period of four weeks that has been tested and has resulted of about
80% to 90% of people developing successful inhibition to the
transporter of serotonin SERT in the brain and has been measured by
tomography positron emission.
The usually recommended dosage of this drug is set by the FDA at
approximately 9 mg per day and tests have proven that the quantity
is enough for inhibiting about 50% seretonin. The drug called
Sertraline HCL - Zoloft is also an inhibitor for the reuptake of
dopamine being proven to do at least a 1% of its annual inhibition.
A person who is above 65 would require a slightly altered dose of
Sertraline HCL - Zoloft and such an individual who has had a past
dependence upon any opioid or narcotic should not be prescribed this
drug. It is also advised that the drug not be used by nursing
mothers.
The working of Zoloft is seen to be effective with inhibition of
reuptake caused by various hormonal UN balancing caused by diseases
such as cancer, or nerve related problems. The drug is also
effective with hyperthyroidism
